Twain Importer Product Description
Twain Importer is a virtual file import Twain driver. It will be helpful for unifying operations with images from multifunctional devices (MFP), Network Scanners or if your Twain-based capture application does not support some file format or you need to test your Twain-based application (especially using Microsoft or WMWare virtual technologies). Twain Importer is available as 32-bit and 64-bit Twain driver. It supports the following image formats and compressions:- TIFF (including multipage)
- JPEG
- JPEG 2000
- PNG
- GIF
- Bitmap
- ICO
- TGA
- PCX
- WMF
- Scan images from MFP (MFD) into local or shared folder
- Import from Microsoft Sharepoint Shared folder
- Import from attached digital camera or flash drive
- Quickly insert number of images into Microsoft Word

Twain Importer is the best solution for this. You can create your set of etalon images and do extensive tests. Loop feature allows making volume tests as 1-2-3.
Also Twain Importer helps you improve quality of images for further OCR or barcode recognition and decrease size of images. Now it can convert color documents to binary, detect and remove paper color from documents and rotate images during transferring. But if Twain Importer Image Enhancement is not enough then you can use it with Kofax VRS and get the best possible production quality.
