Supported File Formats
TwainImporter Pro delivers files to your scanning application in their native form. The table below lists all supported formats, their file extensions, and any edition-specific notes.

Edition notes
- All: Supported in Pro and Developer/OEM editions.
- Pro: Available only in the Pro and Developer/OEM editions. PDF import and Image Enhancement require a Pro or higher license.
Image Enhancement (Pro)
Pro edition users can apply automatic corrections to any incoming image before it is delivered to the scanning application:
- Binarize: Convert to black-and-white, reducing file size and improving OCR accuracy.
- Remove paper colour: Eliminate yellowed or off-white backgrounds from scanned documents.
- Rotate: Auto-rotate pages to the correct orientation.
These settings are configured in the Image Enhancement tab of the TwainImporter dialog.
